About iRaiser

iRaiser is the global digital fundraising platform for the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. It has been procured by the Virtual Fundraising Hub in order to move towards a more inclusive Movement approach to digital fundraising, to ensure the Movement can collectively fundraise online and hence maximize its potential and be the partner of choice for future global digital campaigns.

Why iRaiser?
iRaiser can be used by your National Society for some or all of the following purposes: Online fundraising through individual giving, online fundraising through corporate giving, online fundraising through global Movement campaigns

Having all components of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement on one platform allows to set up global campaigns within the Movement and enlarges access to potential donors. Even if you are already using iRaiser, become part of the global framework agreement to be able to participate in global campaigns.

The donation platform has gone through an extensive selection process led by the Virtual Fundraising Hub with joint collaboration of the IFRC, the ICRC and a number of National Societies.
What is iRaiser?
iRaiser is an online donation platform for
1) Raising funds online through individual giving
2) Raising funds online through corporate employee giving
3) Raising funds through global Movement campaigns (individual & corporate)

Main benefits of the iRaiser platform:
- Easy to use & highly secure without technical knowledge needed
- Very flexible branding / design / layout
- Create as many campaigns as you wish
- Fast and efficient, start raising funds within minutes in case of an emergency
- 135 currencies, 37 supported languages
- Multiple local & international payment methods
- Payments directly from donor to NS through existing payment gateways; money does not go to iRaiser
- Use donation data with your CRM
- Tracking: GTM, GoogleAnalytics, Google Adwords, Facebook etc.
- 500+ customers (e.g. UNHCR, UNICEF, WWF, Amnesty international)
How can you opt-in and start using iRaiser?
Why should a NS onboard right now and not only if a crisis starts
- If a NS is in a crisis they should be ready to start collecting donations instantly
- In a crisis a NS has other priorities as setting up a new donation platform
- If iRaiser is already set up the start of an emergency campaign can be done really fast and as mentioned the first donations can be collected a few hours after the crisis started.
Requirements and Cost
1. Become part of the Global Framework Agreement between the IFRC and iRaiser by Signing Annex 8
2. Confirm funding for the one-off set-up fee of CHF 925 or contact the Hub if funding is needed.
3. Provide access to your Stripe or Paypal-Account to receive funds. Otherwise, integration of additional payment gateway possible (additional cost).
4. Donation Fee: 1.75% commission + payment service provider fee
What is the legal framework?
The National Society can join the Global Framework Agreement between the IFRC and iRaiser by signing Annex 8 of the contract. Find more details here.
